Chad is a former Apple Engineer who worked at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California. During his time in California, Chad was involved in integral development of Apple's Mac OS X operating system. Upon his return to Saskatchewan, Chad taught Canada's first university accredited course on iPhone programming at the University of Saskatchewan. The course received national attention and was featured on The National, Globe & Mail, Maclean's, CTV News, Global News and CBC Radio.
Chad received both a B.Sc in Computer Science and B.Eng in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. He was a fundamental driver of the team responsible for developing iUsask, Canada's first iPhone application for university students. Following the success of iUsask, Chad received requests from educational institutions across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Australia. He then founded CollegeMobile in 2009 to meet this growing demand in mobile application development.
Shane is a well-traveled programmer, project manager and business executive with over 10 years of experience in the technology field. After an extended stint in the website industry, he acquired an array of skills ranging from programming to operations management.
After falling in love with his many smartphones, tablets and e-readers, Shane decided to join a company focused on mobile applications so he could better understand this rapidly expanding industry.
Originally joining CollegeMobile as an Executive Consultant in 2011, he provided guidance on taking the company to a new level and helped implement a new workflow system. As SVP, Operations, Shane now oversees CollegeMobile from an operational standpoint and works closely with the Sales and Development teams to guide projects from start to finish.
He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan and had the honor of giving the valedictorian speech to his 2002 graduating class.
Jess received a B.Comm in Marketing from the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan. While finishing her degree she began working in the marketing field to gain experience and found a passion for branding, event planning and most of all people.
Prior to working at CollegeMobile, she worked at Midtown Plaza as their Marketing Coordinator, helping to rebrand Saskatchewan’s leading shopping centre. Jess was also the Marketing Coordinator at The W. Brett Wilson Centre and gained a passion for all things entrepreneurial. Jess has a passion for educating the youth of Saskatchewan and is the Director of the children’s project Lemonade Day, which teaches children the basics of running their own business.
Jess is excited to be a part of the increasingly popular and exciting world of mobile.
Doug is an experienced leader of technology start-ups. Prior to CollegeMobile, Doug held senior positions at several technology companies including nine years with PMC-Sierra. While with PMC-Sierra Doug managed the Saskatoon design center and was responsible for North American software teams developing advanced consumer networking products.
Prior to PMC-Sierra he was VP Technology for start-up HyperCore Technology, where he provided the technical and project management necessary to achieve the company's objective of bringing cell-switching technology to market. Doug has also built and managed software development teams working on real-time auction and online brokerage systems, and SCADA systems for telecom and oil pipeline surveillance and monitoring.
Doug received a M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan, and a B.Sc. degree in Engineering Physics from the Royal Military College in Ontario, Canada. Between receiving his degrees he served as a signal officer in the Canadian Army.
